So time for a little change and deviation needed from the Project road for this small temporary lighting design project. Yes even I was so excited about this as Its always fun to just brainstorm once a while like we did with pop up theater when the semester starts.
"All Litt Up" was all about designing a light made out of reusable, recyclable or disposable items. Basically as easy as it sounds except for two issues:
One we were not suppose to use glue to attach objects and the whole design must be out of one core material which must be kind of dominant.
Secondly is I guess kind of personal and that is whatever design we think of we find it on the web just flying around so technically at one point it seems like everything is made already.
So the brainstorming starts while cancelling and learning from designs found on the web. Some of the samples from web that worked and were worth.

I guess it was made out of straws joined together by inserting into each other and thereby bending at the same time randomly to create an illusion effect.

It seems like made out of cable ties which were of real help later in my project with the help of my colleagues. Same concept by weaving them randomly to give a great lighting effect.

This was not much different from the above one except the color of the cable ties and the most eye catching part was dipping the edge of ties in a different ink to give it a real tentacles look like you know that fish with colorful tentacles.
While going through the designs and observing them I got pretty impressed by this random concept which could make it a real shadow effect and also could come in handy if someone tries to copy or replicate the design.
