So now in the starting of second semester when its time to start developing the concept and to take the project to another stage I decided to take a quick peek at the most basic detail i.e. hotel and its types.

A hotel is an establishment that provides lodging paid on a short-term basis. Facilities provided may range from a modest-quality mattress in a small room to large suites with bigger, higher-quality beds, a dresser, a fridge and other kitchen facilities, upholstered chairs, a flatscreen television and en-suite bathrooms.

Small, lower-priced hotels may offer only the most basic guest services and facilities. For ex.

  • Apartment hotel

  • Motel

  • Capsule hotel

  • Hostel

  • Bed and breakfast

  • Guest house

Larger, higher-priced hotels may provide additional guest facilities such as a swimming pool, business centre (with computers, printers and other office equipment), childcare, conference and event facilities, tennis or basketball courts, gymnasium, restaurants, day spa and social function services. For ex.

  • Boutique hotel

  • Casino hotel

  • Resort hotels

  • Eco hotel

  • Casino hotel

  • Ice hotel

Now just to understand each of them in little detail I went on looking at them individually and with some of the local examples to help understand it better which you'll find in the next post.
